Andrew A. Nelles is a Chicago, Ill. based freelance photographer/photojournalist. Andrew first became interested in photography early in high school and later decided to turn the hobby into a career after an unsatisfying semester as an engineering major. He attended Columbia College Chicago and graduated with a B.A. in Photography emphasizing in Photojournalism. While attending Columbia, Andrew began his career as the Photo Editor of the Columbia Chronicle, the student run paper of Columbia College. While working at the Chronicle, Andrew received several awards from the Illinois College Press Association and the Illinois Press Photographers Association. After graduation Andrew began freelancing in the Chicagoland area.
